Bloco leader Shayanna worked with a group of young people aged 7+, to create a walking band. The little guys and girls attended three workshops with our Bloco leader, donned some pretty impressive costumes and played there way down Streatham high street to Streatham Common in south London.

It was a fun experience. I enjoyed myself immensely and I know the children enjoyed themselves. One little lady carried her massive samba drum all the way through the 30 minute walk; amazing, since you could have carried her in the drum itself and two of her friends in the drum if you wanted to. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you put your best effort in!
