Get Creative is a celebration of the world-class arts, culture and creativity that happens every day across the UK and we were the Creative Champions selected to launch the year long campaign to a packed room of arts leaders and celebrities last week.

A band of 18 of us went to Conway Hall to represent and performed Satta Massagana, Echo Funk and Uptown Funk to open the whole event. We featured on BBC Breakfast and the evening BBC London News.

Kinetika Bloco received incredible support for our performance with Timothy Spall OBE hailing us as “creativity in its purest form”; Arlene Phillips CBE said we made her “want to get up and dance” and Ade Adepitan claimed we “smashed it!”. Organisations such as Arts Council England, Youth Music, What’s Next Generation, The Place, East London Dance and many others were present and congratulated the band on bringing the launch to life.
