KB – The Lockdown stories
We’ve asked the Bloco to share their Self-Isolation stories – how they’re feeling being in doors 24-7, what they’ve been doing, the pros and the cons. Why? It’s good to share!
This is probably one of the strangest moments in our lifetimes. In the UK, each one of us, Bloco or not, are in self-isolation and dealing with it in our own way. If you’re not sure how you’re feeling about it, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Loads of us are still trying to figure out what to do with the extra time and what is going to happen with all the changes that are being made everyday. Let’s see what other people are up to.
Here’s our first share, from KB Photographer and media angel, Richard!
Name: Richi (without the ‘e’ because I’m extra like that lol)
Bloco Section: Photographer
What have I been up to during lockdown? Recovering from what was most likely “the Rona”. Working remotely by researching a lot for work. Also been resting more and catching up with shows on Netflix. Up-skilling myself with the Japanese language and practicing keys.
How are you feeling? Physically feeling so much better now and most likely 100% recovered. Emotionally I’m concerned for friends and family’s health, jobs and well-being. At the same time loving the opportunity for self-reflection, restfulness and simple things like tidying up lol.
How do you feel about your exams/gigs/teaching being off for now? Honestly we all need a kitkat from time to time. So I don’t mind having a break away. With the internet the learning and creative inspiration never stops! It’s really just put into perspective how good we had it regarding freedom of movement and travel before this happened.
What are you finding difficult? Looking at the news and seeing the metrics that the NHS and world are having to cope with within the medical infrastructures and what it translates to in actual people’s lives. As well as the economy and what it means for businesses and the self-employed.
One thing that would make anyone smile if they were feeling down right now? We’re still here! We have been given this chance to be a part of history and choose how to respond in an unprecedented time. Message or call a friend or family member, continue to learn and stay safe! You and I are here, we’re not alone and we will get through this.
And in the words of president Ola – “when I say Kinetika you say Bloco, KI-NE-TI-KA… BLO-CO… KI-NE-TI-KA… BLO-CO!!!!” If you read that last part with rhythm here’s a Bluetooth self-isolation High Five! 🖐🏾✨lol
Much love familia!
God Bless. STAY FRESH.
Peace.xXx.!!!!!!! (^^,)v
