Monday 8th Oct saw the Bloco team in North West London, making sweet music with the little ones of Wembley Primary school. Kicking off their celebration of Black History month through the exploration of Carnival, musical director Mat, Choreographer Leon, Bateria Leader Shayanna and Bloco leaders Alana, David and Ronni led a day of workshops and a HUGE assembly.

Starting off with a mass musical assembly. Mat and Leon turned 870 little people into a musical giant and a sea of dancing hands. It was great to get the whole school involved in mass music-making. Then moving on to work with their very talented year six pupils, all 120 of them, the Bloco leaders got them dancing and playing like pros. Ending each of the four workshops with a performance in their forecourt, which was brilliant as their tutors and peers were able to come out and support them.

“Thank you so much to all the Kinetika Bloco team.  The whole school had an amazing day, and year 6 were thrilled to be part of such fun-filled and educational dance and drumming sessions.  We hope we can work with you again in the future”  ~ Ass’t Headteacher Miss Anazodo, Wembley Primary School

A big thank you to Miss Anazodo, and everybody who made this day happen! We enjoyed it just as much as the children did!
