We are looking for applicants who will be:

NCS with KB
Kinetika Bloco are partnering with NCS to deliver an exciting new project for 16-17 year old’s. This programme will develop essential social, life and employability skills. It will also look great on a CV or further education application like 6th form/college or university.
By engaging in this programme, we want you to…
- Become world-ready and work-ready
- Feel able to have an impact on the world
- Have greater confidence, resilience, and wellbeing
- Have respect and tolerance for difference and diversity
This will be achieved by the following experiences…
- Developing life skills and supporting independent living
- Providing opportunities for volunteering and social action
- Building employability and work-readiness
- Allow young people from all backgrounds to mix socially
The next phase of the project will run during November and December. It will consist of 16 hours of planning and delivering a social action project including organising our annual Bloco Xmas Party!

From January – March sessions will focus on employability skills, including workplace insight days, making you familiar with and building expertise knowledge needed for any career! Dates to be confirmed soon.

KB Leadership Programme
The Kinetika Bloco Leadership Programme is designed to help you discover your potential and expand your awareness of what leadership means. You will gain insights from industry professionals about what it means to be a leader in today’s day and age and, crucially, will be encouraged to start taking steps in your leadership journey.

Monday 23rd – Friday 27th October 10.30-5.30pm
EMPLOYABILITY / CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS
Fridays 3rd November – 24th November 5:30-8:30pm
GRADUATION
Friday 1st December 5.30-8.30pm – We celebrate your completion of this part of the course. From this point on, you will receive opportunities for work experience with us and more.
The whole programme will be held at the Royal Festival Hall.
MORE ABOUT THE COURSE
Important: This course is part of essential training for Bloco leaders and exists to develop the next generation of people like Sheila Maurice-Gray (Kokoroko), Dominic Canning (MD for Celeste and musician at Steamdown), Femi Koleoso (Ezra Collective), Keiran Pearson, Scarlett Stewart, Andre Johnson, Misha Fox and Shayanna Dyer-Harris. They all took part in this programme, and have or do work for us as leaders in Kinetika Bloco. You do not have to have experience in leadership before signing up, but you must be curious. Neither do you have to be interested in becoming a musician. Do you want to learn the skills it takes to be successful in what you want to do? If it’s a yes, then this is the place to be.
We are looking for applicants who will be:
· 14 years old or older
· Open-minded
· Punctual
· Curious
· Keen to challenge their ideas
· Having ideas about leadership
This would suit you if you:
· Want to learn skills that’ll give you a head start in education or apprenticeships.
· Regularly attend Kinetika Bloco gigs and workshop
· Haven’t attended Kinetika Bloco but are interested
· Have ideas to improve Bloco
· Are inspired by the leaders in Bloco
· Would often like to run a game or a part of rehearsal
· Always help set up and pack away
Note: this course isn’t about being an amazing musician/dancer, it’s about being dedicated at helping young people and working well with the team.

Tulse Hill Bloco After School Club
We are delivering an After School Club in Drumming, Brass/Woodwind and Steel Pans.
Come and join us for some carnival inspired music, build your creative and performance skills and have fun!

Workshops are for young people aged 8-18 years old, no previous experience required except in brass/woodwind where you need to know the notes and have an instrument to use.
It’s FREE!
Pan Takeover
Our introductory steel pan course, that will enable participants to learn how to play the steel pan, about it’s versatility and basic music theory.
We will explore subjects such as rhythm, sight reading, learning by ear and much more. No experience necessary.There are limited spaces and they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.

Southbank Sessions
Join us at our Southbank Sessions every Friday for a creative and fun-filled experience! Our talented regular tutors and special guests will be exploring various music and dance styles.
